What is one of the best ways to grow a business?   Focus on the customer. Engage your customers on social media, Facebook and Twitter are powerful tools to communicate with customers. Use them to solicit ideas on how to improve your business and receive feedback on the quality of your products and services. You can use these tools to announce special promotions and new product roll outs. Communication is top, keep the dialogue consistent.

The Next Web also suggests that YouTube is a great tool for customer engagement. A video answering common customer questions has a greater impact than words on a Facebook page.

You should always send a note to every customer who buys something from you. Send a hand written postcard if possible, but even a cleverly written email, personalized for each particular customer, will go a long way in showing your appreciation.

The effort to focus on customer service is something that starts at the top. Lead by example, and inspire your team.

Using your community of customers as advocates for your business, having them recommend your company to their friends and associates will further open the doors to opportunities.
You may also want to create a social media platform to facilitate this process.

Forbes Magazine expressed the matter from a sales perspective. If you want to grow your business, you should constantly sell your product. If your business is new, at least 80 percent of your day should be spent selling. After your business is established, you should still spend 30 percent of your day selling. It is an old adage in politics that you never get anyone's vote without asking for it. It is just as true in business that you never get any customers without asking them to buy your product.
